Introduction
Our thermoelectric therapy room treats patients who suffer from pain and physical discomfort caused by diseases of the musculoskeletal or nervous system. Common conditions are spinal disorders (i.e. spinal stenosis, radiculopathies, scoliosis, etc.), musculoskeletal disorders including functional disability from injury and disease, and neurological disorders (i.e. stroke, cerebral palsy).
Application
- Thermotherapy; hot pack, infrared rays, ultrasound, laser: We apply heat stimulation on the painful part of the body such as neck and shoulder to relax the muscle and reduce pain.
- Electric therapy; low frequency, interference current therapy, high frequency, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation: We apply electric stimulation such as TENS or ICT on the painful body part to relieve pain.
Pelvic traction, cervical traction: In cases where there is muscular weakness, abnormal sensation, or severe pain caused by a herniated disc, we perform both traction and thermoelectric therapy in order to relocate the herniated disc by decreasing pressure between vertebrae.
