Daily Life

After discharge, patient can return to daily life and depending on the level of recovery, can gradually return to work.

Patient may eat regularly without any special restrictions.

Shampoo the second day after the removal of stitches. Shower and baths are both permitted.
Medication

Medications include antibiotics, pain-killer drugs, and dizziness alleviators. 2 week’s ration will generally be given.

Oriental herb medicines and folk remedies do not help and since the use of medicine is restricted, they are prohibited
Care after discharge

Patient can return two weeks after discharge as an outpatient to the Neurosurgery department.

Removal of stitches on the surgery region can be done by a visiting home health nurse or at a local hospital.
Things to keep in mind

Your mouth may experience wear and blisters may form around the mouth after surgery. If this happens, gargle with the antiseptic solution (4 times a day, after meals and before sleep), and apply antiviral ointment (Acyclovir), which can be bought in a local pharmacy.

Headache and dizziness can continue after being discharged, but it is not anything serious since they will diminish gradually.

Even if spasms still exist after surgery, there have been many cases where improvements have occurred months after surgery.
