Patient-Centered Rehabilitation Excellence

The Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine provides individualized care for patients with functional impairments caused by neurological or musculoskeletal conditions. We specialize in comprehensive neurological rehabilitation, cancer and critical care rehabilitation, and spine and neuromuscular disorders. Our mission is to enhance recovery and independence through a patient-centered, goal-oriented approach.

We emphasize a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language and cognitive therapists, nutritionists, and social workers.

From hospital-based intensive rehabilitation to community and home-based programs, we offer tailored interventions that restore mobility, reduce disability, and improve quality of life across diverse patient populations.

Advanced Multidisciplinary Care in Rehabilitation

At the Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, we provide specialized care across multiple subspecialties including stroke, spinal cord disorders, pediatric rehabilitation, pain management, sports injuries, and electrodiagnostic medicine. Our integrated multidisciplinary team delivers personalized rehabilitation through evidence-based practices and cutting-edge technologies such as robotic-assisted therapy and non-invasive brain stimulation. We emphasize active patient and family engagement with individualized education and coordinated discharge planning. Specialized services include botulinum toxin injections for spasticity, hippotherapy for pediatric patients, comprehensive cancer and critical illness rehabilitation across the care continuum, and image-guided interventions for musculoskeletal conditions.

Specialized Expertise

Neurological Rehabilitation

We provide advanced rehabilitation for patients with central nervous system (CNS) disorders across the lifespan, from pediatric to adult, including stroke, spinal cord injury, and cerebral palsy. We focus on restoring functional abilities across multiple domains based on neuroplasticity.

Cancer & Critical Illness Rehabilitation

Our acute care rehabilitation serves cancer patients throughout their treatment journey and ICU patients during critical illness. We provide prehabilitation, early mobilization, and specialized therapy to maintain functional capacity and prevent complications.

Musculoskeletal & Neuromuscular Disorders

We operate specialized clinics for comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of spine disorders, neuromuscular diseases, and movement-related conditions. Our services include management of neck and low back pain, frozen shoulder, peripheral neuropathy, and spasticity using advanced diagnostic methods and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Clinical Excellence & Specialized Practice

We continuously integrate advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies into clinical practice. Our specialized procedures include electromyography for precise neuromuscular assessment, chemodenervation techniques for spasticity management, spine interventions for spinal conditions, and tailored ultrasonographic evaluation and intervention for musculoskeletal disorders. These evidence-based modalities are selectively applied based on individual patient conditions, supported by ongoing clinical research to optimize treatment protocols. Our team actively participates in national and institutional studies to advance treatment precision and outcomes. We also utilize innovative digital health technologies, including wearable sensors and AI-based platforms, to personalize interventions and extend rehabilitation into home environments, enhancing patient engagement and accelerating recovery.
