Cancer Center
The Cancer Center was established in 1994 and has continued to grow and prosper based on its top-caliber staff and technologically innovative healthcare services. Our goal is to become a globally recognized, first-class cancer center devoted to clinical excellence. We reorganized ourselves in 2003 into 6 specialized cancer care teams to more effectively deal with stomach cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer and cervical cancer, as well as to provide personalized, optimal treatment alternatives for each individual. Our Translational Research Center for Cancer is committed to researching and pioneering the latest methods of genetic treatment, immunotherapy, bone marrow transplants and biotherapy. We are especially recognized for the achievement of completing authorized genetic treatment for the first time in Asia. We also have separate teams for head and neck cancers, brain tumor, pediatric cancer, osteosarcoma, urinary cancer, stem cell transplant, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Our staff includes cancer care nurses, dietician team, home health nurse team and hospice team (soon to be formed) to provide exceptional management and prevention of cancers as well as rehabilitation treatment. Our greatest strength lies in the basic and clinical research programs that are among the finest in the nation’s medical community. The latest findings and scientific knowledge are shared and disseminated through a firm partnership with the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. We strive to remain on the cutting edge in the prevention, treatment and cure of cancer, and stay focused exclusively on the treatment of cancer.
