Liver Cancer Center
The Liver Cancer Center is comprised of the faculty and the professional nurses from the Department of Gastroenterology, Department of Surgery, Department of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Radiology, Department of Radiation Oncology, Department of Pathology and Department of Laboratory Medicine. Our team is endeavoring to provide the best service from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up management of liver cancer patients by forming an organic collaborative system.
Liver Cancer Center is introducing and applying various cutting-edge techniques in the fields of liver cancer diagnosis and treatment. In order to establish the best treatment plans, our team exchanges opinions in the weekly inter-departmental case conferences.
For prompt treatment of patients in different stages of cancer development, almost all tests are done on an outpatient basis so that we minimize the time required from diagnosis to treatment and for testing. The monthly health classes for patients and their families provide correct knowledge on chronic liver diseases including liver cancer and offer composite education on nutrition and nursing management. This class is receiving favorable responses from the patients and their families.
Lastly, the Liver Cancer Center is solidifying the foundation of clinical research by registering clinical information of patients and establishing the treatment protocol. Through inter-departmental research projects, we are dedicating our efforts to continuous development and introduction of new techniques.
