The Department of Allergy was established to offer internal treatment for patients showing hypersensitive reaction to harmless substances in the environment. Some of these allergic symptoms include bronchial asthma, chronic coughing, exercise-induced asthma, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, anaphylactic shock, food/drug/bee sting allergies and eosinophilia. We work closely with our colleagues in the Department of Pediatrics, Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Department of Dermatology and Department of Ophthalmology to take a multidisciplinary approach in diagnosing the etiology of allergic rhinitis, urticaria, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis and allergic conjunctivitis.
