Our staff includes 80 professors, fellows, residents and nurses, who are some of the finest in the nation. We are responsible for providing anesthesia for a complete range of surgeries in 32 operating rooms including the Central Operating Room, Outpatient Operating Room and Delivery Operating Room, and work to relieve the pain of many patients in the Pain Management Center. We are constantly pioneering new areas to achieve clinical advances, and have surpassed the 30,000 mark in the number of yearly procedures in 2002. Our unswerving devotion to training the future leaders in this field and finding better, safer techniques and modalities of anesthesia through extensive research is uncontested. In 2001, we established the nation’s first Laryngeal Mask Airway (LMA) Center and have focused on delivering information on the cutting-edge LMA through workshops and PR activities.
