The Department of Emergency Medicine provides comprehensive, expert management and treatment of patients in acutely unstable condition 24 hours a day 7 days a week. In short, we focus on all aspects of patient care within the bounds of the Emergency Center and pertinent facilities. The profession of the emergency medicine specialist was first introduced in Korea in 1996, and most of the nation’s tertiary hospitals now have specially trained professionals in charge of patient care at their emergency centers.
