Our specialty also lies in minimally invasive heart surgery and less-invasive surgical procedures.
The Division of Thoracic Surgery offers surgical treatment of pulmonary/pleural/esophageal disorders, bronchial disease, diseases of the mediastinum, congenital pulmonary and thoracic disorders, pneumothorax and hyperhidrosis. Our services span lung transplants for patients with end-stage lung diseases, sophisticated airway resection and correction, video-assisted thoracic surgery and minimally invasive open thoracic surgery. We focus on improving treatment of lung and esophageal cancers, and support numerous research programs involving both basic science and clinical practice to expand the boundaries of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery.
