International Health Services
The International Health Services opened in September 1995, offers inpatient and outpatient treatment, consultations and referrals across a comprehensive range of specialties. The service is a major component of the Samsung Medical Center's Seoul hospital, which is one of the country's leading health care institutions.
Samsung Seoul Hospital is well received among foreign residents for its outstanding medical and nursing staff and for its proficient services. The International Health Services has put into effect the cashless service with certain companies, main embassies, foreign schools and the U.S army hospitals, for the convenience of the foreign patients visiting IHS. In addition, IHS has succeeded to hold first place as the best international clinic within Korea, with an average of 7,000 international patients including those who reside in Korea, as well as those who reside in other parts of Asia and middle east visiting the clinic each year. SMC was the official domestic Medevac Facility for the 2002 World Cup Games and designated as the Primary Medivac Facility of the White House.
