• As the affiliated hospital of Peking Union Medical College established by Rockefeller Foundation in 1921, this hospital is acknowledged for its prestigious reputation among all Western medicine hospitals in China. With 1,800 sickbeds, the medical staff consisted with 1,100 physicians including over 400 professors and 1,450 nurses are working in 42 departments, 37 operating rooms and 62 clinics.

• Opening of the joint international center of SMC – PUMCH had been promoted, but was cancelled due to local situations.
