K-Hospital Fair (KHF) 2022, Success in Digital Transformation (DX) Introducing 'Smart Logistics'
Samsung Medical Center (SMC) will present smart logistics innovation cases at the K-HOSPITAL FAIR 2022 held at COEX in Samsung-dong, Seoul from September 29 to October 1.
Since its opening, Samsung Medical Center has been promoting digital innovation in the medical field by avowing to be an intelligent hospital. In 2019, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of its establishment, Samsung Medical Center declared to be a high-tech intelligent hospital and continues with ‘Digital Transformation (DX)’ in all areas of the hospital, including treatment, patient service, logistics, and operating resources.
Another representation of innovation among Digital Transformation (DX) tasks of Samsung Medical Center is a system that automatically supplies the necessary medical materials to each treatment site every day through automatic nighttime delivery executed by an AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) robot. SMC plans to create an optimal medical environment in which medical staff can focus more on patient care and less on the existing human-centered logistics work.
Furthermore, Samsung Medical Center smart logistics model was selected for the ‘2021 Smart Hospital Leading Model Development Project’ hosted by the Korea Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and the project was successfully carried out for one year.
Based on these achievements, Samsung Medical Center participated in the Smart Hospital Special Expo for the K-Hospital Fair, a venue for SMC to become widely recognized.
Moreover, with this K-Hospital Fair 2022, it is expected that the innovative cases of advanced intelligent hospitals, including the smart logistics model of Samsung Medical Center, will greatly contribute to the Digital Transformation of the medical field and the expansion of smart hospitals.
