  2. Request Guarantee of payment

    We accept ISOS/Tricare, Aetna, Cigna, FSBP, GMC plus 23 other major foreign health insurers and third-party payers.

  3. Visit the International Healthcare Center

    ID verification is required for patient registration. If you have medical reports and/or diagnostic imaging, please arrive at the center 30 minutes earlier to register the materials.

  4. Consult your Physician

    You will be assigned to meet a primary physician at International Healthcare Center. The doctor will discuss care plan with you and consult specialists if referral is needed. International Healthcare Center nurses will help you to schedule diagnostic tests and/or follow up appointment.

  5. Complete Payment

    Treatment fees can be paid with Korean won or by credit card. If the patient has overseas insurance the hospital has established a service agreement with, the hospital will process the payment procedure and claim respective treatment fee with the insurance company. If the patient requires foreign exchange, please use the bank within the hospital. As per hospital policy, all outpatient exams, treatments, excluding consultation need to be paid prior to services being rendered.

  6. Proceed with tests and/or pick up prescription

    Once the payment is made, you can go through scheduled work ups. You can receive medication from the pharmacy.

  3. Visit on Your Confirmed Appointment Day

    Please bring your physician's referral and insurance card, and go directly to the department or care center of your appointment. It is recommended to arrive about 10 minutes earlier than the time of the appointment. If you have requested the appointment only the day before (past 4:00p.m.) or on the sameday, you need to go to the Patient Affairs Department window first and receive an appointment confirmation slip after making the appropriate payment

    General physicians and some of specialist physicians are available for doctor's consultations in the clinic within International Health Services. Outpatient services are fully supported by specialists in 40 departments and specialization centers of SMC for consultation and referrals. Primary care services and some specialist services are available in the IHS clinic for your convenience. Please refer to the time table below for the physicians available in the clinic within IHS and their schedule.
