About IHS

The International Health Services which opened in September of 1995, offers inpatient and outpatient treatments, consultations and referrals across a comprehensive range of specialties. The service is a major component of the Samsung Medical Center’s Seoul hospital, which is one of the country’s leading health care institutions.
Samsung Seoul Hospital is well received among foreign residents for its outstanding medical and nursing staff and for its proficient services. The International Health Services has put into effect the cashless service with certain companies, main embassies, foreign schools and the U.S army hospitals, for the convenience of foreign patients visiting IHS. In addition, IHS has succeeded to hold first place as the best International clinic within Korea, with a large portion of foreign patients residing in Korea as well as those residing in other parts of Asia and Middle East visiting the clinic each year. SMC was the official domestic Medevac Facility for the 2002 World Cup Games and designated as the Primary Medivac Facility of the White House.
The International Health Services have the primary goal of providing the best quality health care to foreigners residing in or traveling throughout Korea, in addition to coordinating care for foreigners residing in other countries needing medical care.
