Samsung Medical Center will present A Record of Our Neighborhood, an exhibition by artist Lucy Drawing, at the SMC Care Gallery, located on the first floor of the annex, running from February 28 to April 29, 2026.
Lucy Drawing is an artist who documents spaces imbued with the traces of time and memory through repetitive pen strokes and delicate line work.
This exhibition draws on the buildings and homes of familiar, everyday neighborhoods as its primary subjects, layering the warmth and emotions of lives lived — lingering even in the absence of those who once inhabited these spaces.
"As you follow the quiet, intimate traces hidden within familiar landscapes," said the artist, "you will find yourself face to face once again with the times and places that have quietly lived on in your own heart."
Hee Chul Park, Director of the Office of Communications and Professor of Radiation Oncology at Samsung Medical Center, who organized the exhibition, remarked: "While each of us walks a different path in life, nostalgia for the space we call home is something we all share — enriched by the personal recollections each of us brings. As we welcome the new spring, I hope this exhibition offers everyone an opportunity to savor those cherished memories together."
Since 2018, Samsung Medical Center has been bringing joy and hope to patients, caregivers, and staff alike through the SMC Care Gallery — a dedicated space for arts and cultural engagement.
