Admission Preparation Guide

Admission Kit
An admission kit is provided at a cost by IHC staff at the time of admission for those who do not have their personal items.

Where You’ll Stay: Room Info
We offer a variety of hospital rooms, ranging from multi-bed rooms to VIP deluxe private rooms.
Each room is equipped with a cot/couch for caregiver to stay overnight.

Deposit Information
We ask that you make an 80% deposit of the estimated cost by the admission date. You may make the deposit by cash(KRW), credit card, or wire transfer. If you wish to make the deposit via wire transfer, please remit the funds at least 10 business days before the admission date.

Step 1 Room Assignment
Please note that the scheduled admission date can be changed depending on the limitation of room availability. In unavoidable circumstances, your surgery or procedure may be rescheduled.
Room Assignment
Room assignments are made on the day of admission according to availability and other patients' discharge status; preferred rooms cannot be guaranteed.
If desired, please request a transfer to your preferred room during admission check-in.Notice
- Confirmation notices are sent on the day of the scheduled admission. (If the scheduled admission falls on a holiday or weekend, it will be sent 1~2 days in advance.)
- Please leave your home after receiving the admission notice from the hospital.
- If you need to reschedule/cancel your admission, please let us know in advance.

Please bring photo ID and check in at the designated payment desk at least 30 minuts before the scheduled admission time.

03 During Admission
Rounding Services from IHC
A doctor and nurse who communicate well in English from the international Healthcare Center (IHC) conduct daily rounds to check on your health status during your admission (weekdays only). If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to inform them.
Attending Physician Rounds
Your attending physician will typically conduct rounds once a day within a designated time frame. During these rounds, you can discuss your current health status, diagnosis, and treatment plan. Rounding times may change depending on circumstances such as surgeries, examinations, or emergencies.
Language Support Services
We have in-house medical interpreters available for various languages (Arabic, Russian, Mongolian, Chinese).
Upon request, they can assist with interpretation during physician rounds to help you better understand medical explanations.
Meals
We provide nutritious meals to meet diverse dietary preferences and cultural needs.

Meal Options

- Available options: Korean, Western, Middle Eastern, Russian, Mongolian, Thai
- Caregiver meals must be requested in advance through the nurse and are subject to an additional charge.
- Each patient and their caregiver may receive one meal set per mealtime.
- Menu options for the next meal will be provided at each mealtime. Please place your selection on the tray and return it to the designated location.
Hospital Room Etiquette
Please be respectful and follow proper etiquette in the hospital

Noise and Mobile phone
- Keep noise to a minimum
- Use earphones for audio
- Use mobile phones discreetly

Common Area Cleanliness
- Microwave use in the kitchenette is for short, simple heating only
- Caregivers may eat only in the assigned area near the staff cafeteria entrance (the lounge is off-limits for meals)
- No showers or shampooing in the accessible restroom

Room Cleanliness
- Keep bed area tidy
- No personal items in bathroom or sink
- Store food in sealed containers only
- Personal electric heating devices not allowed
Visitation Policy
To prevent infection, only one registered caregiver with a visitor pass is allowed to enter the ward.
Genral Ward
- To prevent the spread of infections, ward visitation is limited to one designated guardian only; no other vistors are allowed.
- Children of preschool age are not permitted to enter the wards.
Comprehensive Nursing Unit
- Guardians are not allowed to stay in the patient's room.
- On the day of surgery or a medical procedure, only one guardian may be temporarily permitted to visit the patient.
ICU
- Guardians are not allowed to stay with patients in the ICU.
- Only one designated guardian may visit once a day during the designated visiting hours.
- Visiting Hours: 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM (30 minutes daily)
Neonatal ICU (NICU)
- Parents may visit once a day during the designated visiting hours.
- Visiting Hours: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (Monday to Saturday , 1 hour daily)
- Visiting is not allowed between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM for shift hand over and during emergency situations.
- Visitors showing symptoms of infectious or respiratory illnesses (e.g., cough, runny nose, sore throat), or those diagnosed with COVID-19 or influenza, will not be allowed to visit.

Maternal-Fetal ICU (MFICU)
- Guardians are not allowed to stay with patients in the MFICU.
- Only one designated guardian may visit MFICU by 8:00 PM.
SUB-ICU
- Only one designated guardian must remain with the patient for 24 hours in the SUB-ICU ; no other vistors are allowed.
Interim Payment

We will inform you of the balance 1–2 times a week .
Once your deposit is used up, we will ask you to make additional payment to avoid having to settle a large sum at the time of discharge.

04 Discharge Day

Step 1 Preparing for Discharge
- The discharge date will be confirmed 1 to 2 days before your expected discharge
- Please request any CD copies or documents you need from the ward nurse at least one day before discharge.

Step 2 On the discharge date
- The ward nurse will give you your take-home medications and explain your follow-up appointments and post-discharge instructions.
- Admission charges will be finalized by 11:00AM on your discharge day. When instructed, please pay at the designated payment desk.
- Official stamped certificates can be obtained at the payment dest. Fees apply for CDs and certificates.
