Tips & Information for you

Here are essential tips and information to help you make the most of your health screening.
Stay informed every step of the way.

Can I have a health screening while pregnant?

We do not offer screenings for pregnant patients because some tests may affect the baby. If there is any chance you may be pregnant, please inform us before your screening. We will perform a pregnancy test if needed and adjust your tests based on the result.

Can I have a health screening while breastfeeding?

We generally do not recommend certain screenings while breastfeeding because some sedation medications may pass into breast milk.

In addition, breast X-rays and ultrasounds may be less accurate during breastfeeding and expose you to unnecessary radiation.

If possible, we recommend waiting at least six months after you stop breastfeeding for breast exams.

However, if you have concerning symptoms such as a breast lump or severe indigestion, please consult a doctor. Screening may still be necessary and can be arranged through an outpatient visit.

Can I have a health screening during my menstrual period?

We recommend avoiding your screening during your period if possible. If you must come during your period, you can complete all tests except the gynecological exam and urine test. You can return later to complete any tests that were postponed.
