I’m running out of my medication. Can I get a refill?

If the medication is a prescription drug, you must see a doctor to get a new prescription-even if it’s the same medication you’ve been taking. Please make an appointment through the International Healthcare Center.

My prescription has expired. What should I do?

Outpatient prescription for external pharmacies are valid for 14days. Please visit a pharmacy as soon as possible after receiving your prescription.

 

If the prescription has expired, you must see a doctor again to receive a new one.

Can I receive medication without a consultation if I already have a prescription from another country?

If the medication is an over-the-counter(OTC) drug, you can purchase it directly from a pharmacy.

 

However, for prescription drugs, Korean regulations do not allow pharmacies to dispense them without a valid local prescription. You will need to see a doctor in person to receive a prescription.

Can I get a prescription in English?

Yes, an English prescription can be provided. However, it is only available for medications prescribed to be filled at an outside pharmacy. English prescriptions cannot be issued for medications dispensed at the hospital’s in-house pharmacy.
