Samsung Medical Center (SMC) houses nine Da Vinci robotic systems-the largest number installed at a single hospital in Korea. This unmatched infrastructure has positioned SMC as a global hub for advanced robotic surgery, offering patients highly precise, minimally invasive procedures.

[Dedicated Robotic System for Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic (HBP) Surgery]

In September 2022, SMC introduced a department-exclusive Da Vinci Xi robotic system dedicated to the Division of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery-the only one of its kind in Korea. This specialized platform has accelerated the growth of our HBP robotic surgery program, fostering greater surgical specialization, innovation, and optimized patient outcomes.
