Comprehensive Care With a Patient-Centered Approach

The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine provides expert care throughout the entire surgical experience-from preoperative evaluation to intraoperative management and postoperative recovery. We are committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care across a wide range of surgical and medical procedures requiring anesthesia. In addition to anesthesia for surgery, we offer specialized pain management services to help patients manage acute and chronic pain conditions and improve their quality of life.

Scope of Services and Clinical Expertise

Our department operates under the principle of patient-centered anesthetic care. We provide anesthesia for organ transplantation; cardiovascular, neurosurgical, pediatric, orthopedic, and reconstructive surgeries; and oncologic surgeries involving the lung, esophagus, head and neck, breast, endocrine system, urologic, gynecologic, gastrointestinal, and hepato-biliary-pancreatic organs. These are performed in over 60 dedicated operating rooms, including robotic suites.

We also provide anesthesia for outpatient, ophthalmologic, and minimally invasive procedures in our annex and day surgery center, as well as for labor analgesia and cesarean sections in the delivery unit.

Outside the operating rooms, we manage nearly 4,000 cases annually, including interventional radiology procedures, percutaneous repair of aortic and valvular diseases, high-frequency ablation for hepatic and renal cancers, pediatric sedation, proton therapy for pediatric brain tumors, and endoscopic tumor resections.

Specialized Expertise

Anesthesia for robotic surgery

We provide safe, tailored anesthesia for robotic surgery in geriatric patients, using lung-protective ventilation and careful management of cardiac, pulmonary, and metabolic conditions to support safe and stable recovery.

Organ transplantation

Anesthesia for liver transplantation is provided by a specialized team with decades of experience. Based on clinical protocols and research, we ensure expert care and share our expertise through publications and global collaboration.

Cardiovascular anesthesia

Specialized personnel and cutting-edge monitoring systems ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes in surgeries including coronary bypass, valvular, aortic, transplant, arrhythmia, and pediatric congenital heart procedures.
