Colon and Rectal Surgery

Advanced Treatments and Experienced Specialists

The Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery specializes in the accurate diagnosis and surgical management of conditions affecting the colon, rectum, and anus. We treat a broad range of diseases, including colon, rectal, and anal cancers; hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes such as familial adenomatous polyposis; metastatic colorectal cancer; and inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

Our patient-centered, evidence-based care is delivered through a multidisciplinary approach that integrates specialists at every stage-from diagnosis to recovery-to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Minimally Invasive Surgery

Our expert surgical team performs minimally invasive procedures, including laparoscopic, single-port laparoscopic, and da Vinci robotic surgery, selecting the most appropriate technique to each patient.

With more than 700 procedures performed annually, we deliver personalized surgical care with a strong focus on minimally invasive approaches. Over 90-percent of our colorectal cancer surgeries are performed using minimally invasive techniques, resulting in reduced scarring, less pain, and faster recovery.

Comprehensive Colorectal Cancer Care

Through Multidisciplinary Team Discussions (MDT), specialists from relevant departments collaborate to determine the most effective treatment strategies. For patients with refractory or recurrent colorectal cancer, where treatment discussions can be complex, the collaborative approach ensures individualized and optimal care.
