The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Samsung Medical Center is composed of three divisions: Obstetrics, Gynecologic Oncology, and Reproductive Endocrinology. We provide care across a woman's entire lifespan.

In Obstetrics, we manage high-risk pregnancies such as preterm birth, preeclampsia, intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), twin pregnancies, and gestational diabetes. We also offer top-tier prenatal diagnostics using advanced ultrasound technology.

In Gynecologic Oncology, we diagnose and treat malignancies such as cervical, endometrial, ovarian, vulvar, and vaginal cancers using the most current surgical and therapeutic techniques. In Reproductive Endocrinology, we provide care for infertility, menopause, adolescent reproductive issues, and fertility preservation in cancer patients.

Extreme Preterm & Growth Restricted Fetuses

We provide advanced care and conduct research to improve outcomes in pregnancies involving extreme prematurity or intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), where fetal survival is uncertain.

Minimally Invasive & Robotic Surgery

We provide laparoscopic and robotic approaches for gynecologic cancers, enabling faster recovery, fewer complications, and safe, patient-centered results.

Fertility-Preserving Cancer Care

For younger patients, we offer treatment options that preserve future fertility. Our team works closely with reproductive specialists to protect fertility while maintaining excellent oncologic outcomes. Available options include oocyte and sperm cryopreservation-for cancer patients and those at risk of infertility-supported by expert-led consultation and care. We also use fertility-sparing techniques for benign gynecologic conditions, tailoring surgery to each patient's reproductive goals.
