We Are Here for the Health and Well-Being of Children

The Division of Pediatric Surgery at Samsung Medical Center is led by a dedicated team of pediatric surgeons who specialize exclusively in surgical care for children.

Through our multidisciplinary team approach, we deliver the highest standard of care for newborns-from prenatal diagnosis of congenital digestive anomalies to postnatal management in the neonatal intensive care unit-in close collaboration with the Departments of Obstetrics, Neonatology, and Pediatric Anesthesiology. As part of the pediatric oncology team, we perform surgical resection of malignant tumors at optimal time points before and after chemotherapy.

Our division is also nationally recognized for excellence in pediatric liver transplantation and minimally invasive pediatric surgery, including laparoscopic and thoracoscopic techniques.
