Vascular Surgery
Specialized and Advanced Treatment for Vascular Diseases
The American Medical Association defines the vascular surgery as a specialized field of surgery focused on the diagnois, treatment, and research of diseases, trauma, congenital malformations, and tumors involving the arteries, veins, and lymphatic ducts in the body-excluding intracranial and coronary vessels. In practice, vascular surgery primarily targets the aorta. splanchnic vessels supplying intra-abdominal organs, and the arteries and veins of the neck, upper limbs, and and lower limbs.
Maximizing Efficiency, Minimizing Comlications
The field of vascular surgery is largley categorized into arterial, venous, and lymphatic diseases. Arterial diseases invlude conditions affecting the aorta, peripheral arteries, and splanchnic arteries supplying various abdominal organs. Venous diseases include deep vein thrombosis (DVT) of the upper and lower extremities and varicose veins. Lymphatic diseases include lymphedema.
In addition to regular outpatient services, we operate a spcialized clinic for patients in congential vascular malformations (CVM), offering multidisciplinary care for these rare and challenging conditions.
Specialized Expertise
Aortic Disease
We have extensive experience treating complex aortic disease. Our surgical mortality rate for elective abdominal aortic aneurysm repair is approximately 0.3%, one of the best outcomes globally.
Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)
Our customized treatment strategy for PAD considers each patient's unique arterial anatomy and life expectancy. Many patients with critical limb ischemia have successfully avoided amputation through our limb-salvaging interventions.
Congenital Vascular Malformation (CVM) Clinic
Our CVM clinic has more than 30 years of experience since its establishment in 1994, with over 3,000 registered patients. Many international patients also visit our clinic to receive advanced treatment for CVM.
