Center for Prevention & Rehabilitation
Multidisciplinary Prevention and Rehabilitation Care for Cardiovascular and Neurovascular Patients
The Center for Prevention & Rehabilitation delivers evidence-based rehabilitation and lifestyle modification services for patients recovering from cardiovascular and neurovascular diseases. Through close collaboration among cardiologists, neurologists, rehabilitation specialists, and vascular and cardiac surgeons, we provide comprehensive care, including individualized inpatient education and structured outpatient programs. Our focus is on improving quality of life, preventing recurrence, and supporting long-term functional recovery.
Cardiovascular and Neurovascular Rehabilitation
We offer integrated rehabilitation services for patients recovering from conditions such as myocardial infarction, heart failure, or valve surgery, stroke, traumatic brain surgery, and neurodegenerative diseases. For cardiac patients, structured inpatient education and supervised outpatient therapy are designed to enhance cardiopulmonary function, manage risk factors, and enhance long-term outcomes. For neurovascular patients, we provide comprehensive therapies including cognitive rehabilitation, gait training, and swallowing therapy. Our multidisciplinary approach helps promote independence, reduce hospital readmissions, and support successful reintegration into daily life.
Specialized Expertise
Early Mobilization for Advanced Heart Failure
We offer prehabilitation and early mobilization for patients awaiting LVAD implantation or heart transplantation. These interventions help reduce frailty, improve physical function, enhance surgical readiness, and support faster, safer recovery.
Non-invasive Brain Stimulation Clinic
Our clinic provides non-invasive brain stimulation using repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to treat motor paralysis, cognitive disorder, aphasia, and central pain. These evidence-based therapies safely enhance brain function by modulating neural activity.
Spasticity Clinic
We treat spasticity caused by stroke, spinal cord injury and cerebral palsy through a combination of medication, nerve blocks, and botulinum toxin injections. These treatments help relieve pain, improve mobility, and prevent contractures.
Seamless Care Pathway from ICU to Home
We provide a continuous, personalized rehabilitation pathway that extends from the intensive care unit (ICU) to outpatient and community-based care. Patients with serious cardiac or neurovascular conditions-such as heart failure, stroke, or post-surgical recovery-are supported through each phase of recovery through coordinated care by cardiologists, neurologists, intensivists, and rehabilitation specialists. Early mobilization and functional assessments begin at the bedside in the acute phase. As the patient's condition stabilizes, the care plan transitions to tailored inpatient rehabilitation targeting mobility, cognition, and endurance. After discharge, structured outpatient programs and digital follow-up systems ensure continuity of care and adherence to long-term health goals. This fully integrated model minimizes care gaps, reduces complications, shortens hospital stays, and enhances patient outcomes by delivering the right level of rehabilitation at the right time.
