The Valve Team at Samsung Medical Center performs the highest volume of valvular heart surgeries in Korea, with a surgical mortality rate of approximately 0.5%, making us a national leader in both surgical volume and clinical outcomes. Aortic valve replacements are performed with excellent results, and mitral valve repair is feasible in the majority of cases, allowing preservation of the native valve.

Our expertise covers conventional surgical valve replacement and advanced transcatheter techniques such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), which we were the first to introduce in Korea.
