Samsung Medical Center Hosts ‘Do Dream Atopic Family Camp’ for Families Affected by Atopic Dermatitis

Samsung Medical Center held the 'Do! Dream! Atopic Family Camp' on August 12th.

This atopic dermatitis family camp was organized to share accurate information and scientific evidence-based management strategies for severe atopic dermatitis, with support from the Ultra-Rare Disease Infrastructure Research Project, a component of the ‘Pediatric Cancer and Rare Disease Project funded by the Lee Kunhee Foundation.’

On the day of the event, 63 families affected by atopic dermatitis attended the camp and participated in various programs, including measurement of skin hydration and observing house dust mites, one of the main causes of the condition.

Professor Jihyun Kim from the Department of Pediatrics stated, “Atopic dermatitis is a chronic condition that impacts the entire family, making accurate information and compassionate support essential. I hope this camp becomes a space where families can share their concerns and encourage one another.”
