Haitian Children Got Free Heart Surgery at SMC

Seven Haitian children won a second chance at life after successful heart surgery at SMC.
As in last year, GIL Ministry, a Korean Christian celebrity charity group, invited seven Haitian children with heart conditions who cannot receive treatment at home.
On November 20th, an event was held to celebrate their successful surgery and to acknowledge a favor from the Korea Heart Foundation, the Korean Cardiac Research Foundation, and other sponsors.
As a cardio surgeon in charge of the treatment, Prof. Tae-Gook Jun said, “I was very worried by their critical conditions, but surgery and treatment went successful. I’m very glad that they can have a second chance of life.”
