SMC and Worldshare Signed MOU for Medical Support for Poor in Kyrgyzstan

SMC signed an MOU with a non-profit relief foundation, Worldshare, on February 17th to provide medical assistance in Kyrgyzstan.

 

Worldshare is a relief organization in compliance with global standards and connects Korean health care professionals and public health offices in countries where better medical service is needed. By signing the MOU with Worldshare, SMC is now able to help improve the local health care system in Kyrgyzstan for a long term.

 

The MOU is the second after the first one made in 2014. SMC will provide aid as well as free examination and surgery services. If needed, it can offer paid medical services upon mutual agreement. SMC will also share its knowledge of medical technology and deliver lectures.

 

Prof. Hee Yoon and Jeong-ae Park, Manager in the CSR Team traveled to the country from February 16th to 21st for the MOU and visited Bishkek where SMC will run a medical camp in May.
