Japan’s Minister of MHLW Visits SMC and Praises Its IT System

The Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan and his delegates paid a visit to SMC and had a chance to look at SMC’s health insurance review and claim process and digital health care system.
The delegates were greeted by Young-Hyuck Im, vice president of research affairs, Joon-Hyoek Lee, director of the office of external affairs, and Sang-Chol Lee, director of international healthcare team. They demonstrated SMC’s electronic insurance review and claim system to the delegates, and Won Chul Cha, deputy director of the office of information strategy briefed the details of SMC’s mobile healthcare.
After taking a look at SMC’s IT process, the delegates praised the excellence of the system. They also showed an interest in SMC’s latest DARWIN medical information system with a number of questions.
