SMC’s Department of General Surgery is patient-oriented. We introduce new medical technology to maximize the effectiveness of treatment and achieve a higher level of patient satisfaction.
Major areas of treatment / Clinics
The Department of General Surgery consists of seven areas of treatment or clinics including Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Surgery, Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Breast and Endocrine Surgery, Organ Transplantation, and Vascular Surgery.
Strength
We focus on research as well as patient care and publish innovative study results every year. To foster a well-trained pool of surgeons, we provide a variety of training programs for doctors both at home and from abroad. We also relentlessly work on improving the department. When we opened the door of the Samsung Comprehensive Cancer Center late 2008, we upgraded our treatment, research and training systems. Going forward, we will keep improving the department as Asia’s best surgery clinic.
