Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the SMCprovides clinical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment services to patients with health problems such as primary lung cancer, pulmonary tuberculosis, nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) lung disease, pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pleural disease, airway obstruction as well as those patients requiring intensive care.
Patient care and research are integrated to provide the best care available for our patients. We actively engage in clinical, translational, and basic research and publish quality articles in the international medical journals
Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the SMC performs the diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function test, bronchoscopy, and endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA).
Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the SMC performs photodynamic therapy for the patients with lung cancer, airway stenting for the patients with airway obstruction, and bronchial lung volume reduction (endobronchial valve therapy) for the patients with COPD
