Allergic Medicine
The Department of Allergic Medicine is a sub-division of internal medicine that specializes in research on and medical care of allergic diseases that are caused by hypersensitive immune reactions to external substances. We treat respiratory allergic diseases such as bronchial asthma, chronic cough, exercise allergy, and hypersensitive pneumonitis, as well as systemic allergic diseases such as anaphylactic shock, food, drug, and bee venom allergy, and eosinophilia. We co-operate with the Departments of Pediatrics, Otorhinolaryngology, Dermatology, and Ophthalmology to diagnose the cause of, treat and educate patients with allergic rhinitis, urticaria, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and allergic conjunctivitis.
